Mark Telford

Mark Telford is currently the ‘Home Mission’ outreach worker for Hebron Free Presbyterian Church. He writes: -

“Ezekiel 3 verse 4 and 5 “Get thee unto the house of Israel and speak with my words unto them. For thou art not sent to a people with strange speech and of an hard language but to the house of Israel.”

With the privilege of being born into a Christian home I was taught the things of God from an early age and at the age of 5 I trusted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Growing up in a church that had an interest in the spiritual well being of its young people I was encouraged to become involved in the activities of the church. God gave me an increasing interest in outreach, open airs and tract distribution. From 1996 to 1998 I attended the ‘Youth Council’ summer outreach programme's to England and Wales. In 1997 I answered God’s call for full time Bible study and in September commenced 2 years of studies at the Whitefield Bible College. After my course was completed the opportunity was given to me to pastor a little church in Jamaica. On returning to Northern Ireland I sought God’s will as to my future and in the meantime continued with children’s work, youth meetings and lay preaching. In January 2006 God opened the door for me to become involved in the Home Mission outreach work. I felt very humbled and privileged taking up the work which had been commenced 29 years earlier by our dear brother Mr Albert McAuley. Presently I work 2 days a week focusing on door-to-door outreach, visitation and open air work.”
